Adobe ™ PDF solves many common document-sharing problems: PDF will preserve the look-and-feel of your original thesis document, allowing us to view and print your file in our print shop regardless of the platform or format on which it was created. For this reason we can only accept theses in PDF format, and to facilitate this we are offering you an online PDF conversion service free of charge!

The PDF service we offer is specially tailored to the high resolution of our laser printers, ensuring that the print quality matches that of your original document - in other words you don't need to worry about losing quality in our PDF conversion.

Once converted your thesis document is uploaded it is stored on our server for a minimum of 14 days. This allows you to come back to the site and order the binding of that document without having to convert or upload it again.

On step 3 of the MyThesis order process you can preview a virtual rendition of your cover layout, allowing you to visualise the finished product online. On step 4 You can also choose from a variety of cover colours and lettering in gold, silver, white, or black foil, and from a variety of binding styles, you can also choose pockets and extras for your binding, such as insert pockets, hand crafted pockets, and CD pockets, etc.

On step 5 you will be able to either: select a document that you have previously uploaded or converted on our server, or upload and select a new document. After you have selected your PDF document you move on to step 6 where the number of pages in your thesis document is calculated, and you are provided with an instant breakdown of printing costs. You can specify exactly which pages you wish to be printed in colour and thus keep your print costs down to a minimum.

SMS Notification

We have introduced an SMS text messaging service which informs you that your binding order has been completed and dispatched, or is ready for collection. This allows you complete confidence in the knowledge that you thesis is safely bound and on its way. If you have selected courier delviery the SMS notification also contains details of your courier tracking number allowing you to check the progress of your delivery from the Initial City Link website.

IMPORTANT: Please make sure you have your thesis in PDF format before you begin the order process. You should also be aware of the submission criteria for your course - i.e. binding style, cover colour, what information needs to be displayed on the front board, and on the spine, etc. You should also make note of the page numbers you wish to be printed in colour.
